"Gallean saw that his Elves had a tendency to spread throughout the forests instead of amassing into cities as the other races did. They soon became independant societies with different ideals and ambitions."

"This is not what Gallean had intended, so he sought a way for them to communicate to all reaches of the woods. With help from Bethrezen, who created the beasts of Nevendaar, he constructed a much more agile creature."

"The Centaurs shared the same father with the Elves, just as the Merfolk shared the same mother. The Centaurs quickly delivered messages between the Elven groves as well as protected the forests around them."
