Rites of Fire is a saga created by Yogendra Pai for the Legion of the Damned. It is a saga for Disciples : Dark Prophecy. You can find it in the scenarios. This story is "copyright yogi 2003".

I played Rites of Fire with Devius, an Arch-Devil, Mage Lord, on normal difficulty. Demonuscus will follow you in the quests. Devius started at level 1 and finished at 14.

THE HERETIC - I

Objective : Free Demonuscus.

My comments : Not hard but you have to move fast, don't take the time to explore. I had to restart. Make sure the Mountain Clan don't get on your land.

HIGH HOPES - II

Objective : Obtain The Scroll of Elder Runes from Talder's Altar.

My comments : This one is easy, I went around to upgrade my leader.

FALL OF THE CLANS - III

Objective : Capture the Dwarven capital of Veronia.

My comments : Another time one, 50 days. Another one I had to restart at day 25. Send your main leader East to get near the Mountain Clan's capital and get the maximum mana and potions if your leader is not strong enough. On second try, I knew I will have help and I manage to keep a Tiamath alive and send him to the capital. Made it just in time.

FURY - IV

Objective : Defend the Legion's city of Turania for 30 days until Lord Demonuscus arrives.

My comments : I had a hard time at the end of this one. You have 30 days, more likely 29 days on this one. I took to much time because I wanted to buy a few artifacts and I did not explore fast enough. I won only by casting "Paraseus" on the last Horde's stack on day 28 and 29. Shame on me, but I made it anyway...

THINNING THE HERD - V

Objective : Capture the independant settlements of Barbarian Hold, Orc Fort and elven city Myria.

My comments : Harder one, the Empire is only there for the story and they are not a problem. I was not strong enough and I wished I had more potions, mostly protection, for the final battle. I had to got back and get what was left on the map before I could get the Elf Queen.

SEARCH FOR THE ELDER DRAGON - VI

Objective : Find the Elder Dragon.

My comments : Easy one, the Undead Horde is only there for the story and they won't be a problem. Just follow the story to the end and gained a few levels for my leader.

CATACLYSM OF AGES - VII

Objective : Crush the Empire by capturing their capital.

My comments : Not hard, real nice quest. Just sent the Elder Dragon to watch over the Horde, Astheroth to take care of the some wandering units, Demonuscus stayed around my capital and Devius got the Empire's capital.

Interesting saga but I wish I had more time to explore some quests.
