CAPTURE A CAPITAL

Wait until your heroes are at level 6 minimum, at level 7 it is easier and at level 8, you are a king. Use your best leader.

Be sure that you have at least 50/90 armor. An artifact that gives 50 armor and a potion or a spell that adds 30 armor give you 80 armor. You will receive a lot less damage. The same for the attack. An artifact that gives 50 attack plus a potion or a spell that adds 30 attack give you 80 attack. You will do a lot more damage. Follow the rule 90 armor and 90 attack and the guardian is death unless you are fool enough to send troops that the guardian is immune to.

Keep in your troops, if you can, a healer.

Keep in reserve healing and reanimating potions, healing spells and be sure to have enough turn's points, if you have to go out to heal, you also have to get back in the capital during the same turn without giving the guardian a chance to heal.

Be careful in sending summon creatures before you get in a capital. You could end up with the guardian's troops getting one more level by fighting your creatures.

In Disciples 2, capturing a capital is easier. You can use new artifacts to paralyze the guardian and win an easy battle. You still have to get past the first attack and survive the 250 points of damage that the guardian will inflict to your troops.

In GOTL and SOTD, capturing a capital with your level 15 leader is more than easy. Just go for it. Just make sure that you can survive the first attack of the guardian and the you can get ride fast of the other troops in the capital.
